Ashok Nanda had a life of “living and exploring” for twenty two years. Where he experimented on life, to experience it as the creator and also as an outside observer. He was simply inspired by the personality of Sidhartha created by Herman Hesse in his book. It was a life for renunciation, thinking and observation. To find a reason for living he dedicated his time for development of the society and more specifically emancipation of leprosy affected persons, refugees and disabled people. His logical goal is to make the world better than he inherited.
In the last few years his life is more a celebration. The observer in him is active. The renunciation is now to be involved without attachment. He believes that every human being while being the creative citizen should preferably enjoy the living on the beautiful world. It is a journey towards celebrating moments now and now. In his words the “ultimate journey is to go beyond the distinction of good and bad, living and dead, superior and inferior, highs and lows”.
