The institute has been established with the objective of developing skilled manpower to tap into the opportunities thrown up by the technology boon. The place is very close to Konark temple which is one of the well known tourist attractions of Orissa. Even in its ruined state it is a magnificent temple reflecting the genius of the architects that envisioned and built it. The locality is also for craft production unit entrepreneurs. The location offers a green & peaceful environment for the conduction of training programme and generates the spirit of self employment in the trainers.
